The news out there for businesses isn’t rosy, and it’s at time like these that we need to pull together, show mutual support, and find the rewarding relationships that will help lift up you and your business.
I wanted to give something back to the Hospice which has helped me and my father this year.
So the Charity Masquerade Networking Ball in aid of St Helena Hospice is happening on 30th November and I’ve been totally overwhelmed by the support it’s already received.
It brings together business leaders at the beautiful 18th Century Wivenhoe House Hotel in Colchester.
And is sponsored and supported by some of the most exciting and prominent businesses in our area: Beth Chatto’s Plants & Gardens, Wilkin & Sons, Tiptree, Carbon Numbers, Cloud 9 Business Coaching and Squarestar Digital.
The masquerade ball with sumptuous three-course dinner, gives business owners, directors, CEOs, and senior professionals, a real opportunity to forge new relationships. We change seats during the meal to allow valuable connections to be made.
Lost love for networking
I am a former serial networker, but I lost my love for networking. I felt the formula for networking events lacked what I was looking for: more fun and more genuine connections.
And so at the beginning of 2023 I set up the not-for-profit: Inspire-Me Networking.
This event focuses on the positive in a world seemingly full of negativity and challenges.
It brings together incredible business leaders to connect and raise money for a charity which does unending good in our community and helps all of us so much more than we may realise.

- 3-course festive meal with all the trimmings
- Inspirational talks from inspirational business leaders
- Raffle to win top prizes such as a weekend stay in a Suffolk mansion and football tickets
